HyperSAS Radiometer


The HyperSAS radiometer, installed in the bow, continously follows the angle of the sun and measures the color of the sea through a downward looking lens, and the color of the sky through another lens pointed upward.

[11-Feb-17] The HyperSAS radiometer, installed in the bow, continuously follows the angle of the sun and measures the color of the sea through a downward looking lens, and the color of the sky through another lens pointed up. Using a GPS signal, the instrument tracks the heading of the ship and automatically adjusts its position to point 90 degrees from the sun to reduce the influence of sun glint.
