NAAMES Team Prepares for Flight

[16-May-16] The NAAMES team prepares a C-130 for a flight to St. John's International Airport, where it will reside between scientific sortees. The plane will rendezvous with the R/V Atlantis, a Global Class Research Vessel owned by the U.S. Navy and operated by Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute. Their observations, combined with continuous satellite and in situ ocean sensor measurements, will enable improved predictive capabilities of Earth system processes for management and assessment of ecosystem change.
