Carbon Cycle Game

[20-May-2020] Carbon is important to all life on Earth, and is cycled through the planet's atmosphere, land, and ocean. Many different organisms (bacteria, plants, and animals) collectively transport carbon from the atmosphere to the deep sea where it stays locked away for thousands of years. It all begins with the phytoplankton in the sunlit 'photic zone'.

This game allows players to become a carbon molecule traveling along the marine carbon cycle from the surface to the deep sea. Follow along as you are captured by a diatom during photosynthesis, sink through the Twilight Zone, and, if you aren't consumed by bacteria first, make it to the Deep Sea! Carbon Cycle Game
