Reddish Bloom in the Gulf of Carpentaria

Reddish Bloom in the Gulf of Carpentaria
A reddish, bloom-like feature is visible in this Landsat 8 view of the Gulf of Carpentaria on November 18, 2021. Any idea what it is?

The Gulf of Carpentaria is a large, shallow sea enclosed on three sides by northern Australia. It is home to the Gulf of Carpentaria Marine Park, famous for its network of submerged coral reefs. Hint to the cause of the reddish bloom: A week earlier, a storm passed through and mixed the water.
