The SeaHawk CubeSat collected this view of the Danube River delta in the western Black Sea on February 17, 2022.
The Danube Delta is the second largest river delta in Europe. The modern Danube Delta began to form after 4000 BCE in a bay of the Black Sea when the sea rose to its present level. Note that the larger version of this image extends south past the city of Istanbul.
