Springtime in South Korea
Springtime in ... and around … the southern tip of the Korean peninsula. This image was acquired by the SeaHawk CubeSat on March 29, 2022.
Colorful swirls in the Korea Strait indicate the presence sediments and, in some places, the green pigment (chlorophyll) found in phytoplankton. The island located south of the mainland is Jeju-do, known for its beach resorts and volcanic landscapes.
