Queen Maud Gulf

Queen Maud Gulf
Despite it being a hot summer in much of the US, here's some icy coolness in Nunavut's Queen Maud Gulf as seen by Landsat 9 on June 13, 2022. Sadly, global warming may soon make such iciness in the Northwest Passage naught but a memory.

Qikiqtaryuaq is a small island (420 sq km or 160 sq mi) in the Kitikmeot Region of Nunavut, Canada. It was formerly called Jenny Lind Island, named for a Swedish opera singer who was popular in the 1800s.
