Satellite image of shallow Lake Erie was taken on Apr 13, 2023. It shows intricate patterns of phytoplankton, colored dissolved organic matter, and suspended sediment. Watercraft trailing wakes show up as tiny bright specks. Easy to see why a satellite view can be more revealing than a view from a boat.
