Gulf of Oman

The Gulf of Oman connects the Persian Gulf to the Arabian Sea and Indian Ocean. It is often home to slick-forming blooms of the mixotrophic dinoflagellate, Noctiluca scintillans. This image was taken by the Ocean Color Instrument (OCI) sensor aboard the PACE satellite on March 17, 2024.
