Blooms in the Argentine Sea

Colorful patches of chlorophyll-rich waters reveal complex circulation patterns in the Argentine Sea, located off Argentina's east coast. The Malvinas (Falkland) Islands, which are located on South America's continental shelf, are seen at lower right. This image was taken by the Ocean Color Instrument (OCI) sensor aboard the PACE satellite on March 11, 2024.
