Caspian Sea

The Caspian Sea lies between Europe and Asia. It is the world's largest inland body of water and has about one-third the salinity of average seawater. Its main freshwater inflow is from Europe's longest river, the Volga. This image was taken by the Ocean Color Instrument (OCI) sensor aboard the PACE satellite on June 6, 2024.
