PACE Early Adopter Virtual Hackday: Hands-On Data Access & Analysis Tutorial
TBDVirtual
The PACE Early Adopter Hackday will be postponed. A new date will be announced here once rescheduling is possible.
Interactive virtual learning experience for PACE Early Adopters, TBD
PACE Applications invites Early Adopters and those supporting Early Adopter projects (PIs, Co-Is, students, etc), to participate in a live, hands-on tutorial focused on accessing and working with PACE satellite data products. This virtual hackday is a miniature version of our annual PACE Hackweek. Lessons will advance your technical skills and knowledge needed to effectively utilize PACE data in your applications.
Early Adopters have found that learning to access PACE data through the new Earthdata system, as well as finding time to write code or learn software to conduct basic operations with PACE’s new data types to be a barrier due to limited time and resources for initiating new workflows. Accessible data is actionable data, so in support of these challenges Early Adopter Hackday tutorials will include data access, visualization, and analysis approaches for aquatic, terrestrial, and atmospheric data products. Open access Python code and expertise from PACE Team members will be provided in a live instruction environment. Depending on participation and interest, we hope to build on this event with future tutorials including data recipes for specific applications.
- When: TBD
- Who: Early Adopter PIs and others working on their EA project (EA Co-Is, students, etc).
- Format: Virtual, half-day interactive tutorial with live instruction.
- Content: Agenda below
- Platform: Tutorials will be presented in Jupyter Notebooks and written in Python. Attendees will interact with class material via Openscapes Jupyter Hub.
