PACE Applications Workshop: Putting PACE Data to Work Across the Earth System
March 11 - 12, 2026Virtual
Free Registration
The NASA Plankton, Aerosol, Cloud, ocean Ecosystem (PACE) Applications Team invites the decision-making, private sector, research and applied sciences communities to the 2026 PACE Applications Workshop. This event will focus on helping you, the community of current and prospective PACE data users, put PACE data to work for your aquatic, terrestrial, and atmospheric applications. Through planned talks and activities, we will amplify user capacity and sustained user engagement, solicit user feedback on specific data needs, and build connections across PACE data user communities.
Workshop content is cross-disciplinary, spanning the science and applications of marine and freshwater (harmful algal blooms, fisheries, public health), atmospheric (air quality, modeling), and terrestrial (agriculture, forestry) domains.
We encourage attendance of individuals and organizations from all sectors, such as commercial/private entities, government agencies, non-profit organizations, universities, and more. A range of experience levels is also welcome, from those who would like to learn how PACE data products and capabilities may enhance their work to expert satellite remote sensing researchers already utilizing PACE or other Earth observing data.
-
Session 1 – Setting the stage: Overview of PACE Mission & Applications
-
Session 2 – Hear from the PACE Team: The latest on PACE data products and resources
-
Session 3 – Applications & Impact: Multi-disciplinary Examples of PACE Data in Action
-
Session 4 – Get to Work with PACE Data: Capacity-building demonstrations and tutorials
Workshop Objectives:
- Inform: Updates on PACE Mission status, data products and related support tools available, research and applications results, and future and ongoing goals
- Build capacity: Multiple demonstrations and tutorials for users of varied levels will help you get started, or work better, with PACE data for your application
- Foster ideas: Stimulate creative thinking and expand awareness of PACE, and broader Earth Observation, capabilities and their potential synergies
