[10-May-16] While in the field, plans can change as quickly as the weather. Meteorologists for the North Atlantic Aerosols and Marine Ecosystems Study (NAAMES) constantly provided forecasts for the aircraft and ship teams who rendezvoused several times over the course of the campaign in the North Atlantic - home to the world's largest phytoplankton bloom. Logan Johnsen, Atlantis navigator and second mate, (pictured) studied weather and ocean forecast products to plan the best course to the ship's North Atlantic study site.
