[15-Jun-24] Located of the coast of northwestern Africa, the volcanic Canary Islands are a popular tourist destination. Swirls seen in the clouds are the result of vortices that form downwind of the islands. Green filaments along coasts indicate areas of high primary production that are influenced by ocean currents.
