[04-Nov-25] Winds blowing dust from southern Iran toward Africa obscure the view of the Gulf of Oman. Nutrients within dust can fuel blooms of microscopic algae known as phytoplankton. When these blooms occur, they would be visible as green areas within the sea of blue. This image was taken by the Ocean Color Instrument (OCI) sensor aboard the PACE satellite on November 4, 2025.
